“ I’d booked my lunch based on reviews from google n tablelog. This place definitely deserves a 5 Star rating! They do not accept reservations for dinner on weekends in google though. You’ll never go wrong going for quality Japanese beef over Australian( sorry for my forthrightness). They serves Kuroge which literally melted in my mouth! They were so accommodating to place 4 of us in a corner where we had the chef solely for ourselves. One of us wasn’t a beef eater n the chef was so attentive n sweet to accommodate that for our meal, paying special attention to that eg like the her fried rice was done separately without beef. Thumbs up! The ambience was great situated on the 9th floor where you can still enjoy the view of Namba. ”

“ Our hotel concierge recommended this place, only a few blocks away. We had a 1:30 reservation and had all our food by 1:45! It was outstanding. We had the Kobe beef sirloin meal. All the dishes were great and we added the garlic fried rice; so worth it!! ”

“ We decided to try this on a recommendation as this steakhouse has been around for quite a while (since 1956) with numerous branches, and its Namba branch offers both Kobe and Matsusaka beef. Reservations are recommended as the steakhouse was full when we arrived, but service was brisk and efficient and we were ushered to our counter seat promptly. We both ordered the New Matsusaka course (¥9,900), but topped up for Kobe and Matsusaka sirloin (¥6,000) respectively so that we could try both. The course starts off with a h’ors devours, followed by flame-broiled wagyu sushi, grilled cabbage, and a choice of your first main (I chose the grilled spiny lobster). Your second main comprises the beef, and the chef was kind enough to give us a half portion of each order so we could try Kobe and Matsusaka beef side-by-side. At this restaurant, I found the Matsusaka to have a richer, more buttery flavour. It was very close to eating butter, except with a beefy flavour, and went down easily without having to bite much. The Kobe was less buttery but had a meatier texture and more bite. It was great that we split both orders, as I think a full Matsusaka order might have been too rich and heavy for one person. The meat also came with grilled vegetables, followed by a carb to finish off. We got the garlic fried rice and the wagyu chazuke. Dessert was a lovely sponge butter cake topped with marron or chestnut paste and fresh cream. What a sweet and delightful end to a fantastic (and substantial) meal. We enjoyed our counter-seating with our chef cooking for us. We could tell from how each dish - including the beef - was perfectly cooked to our liking that our chef was skilled and experienced. We also enjoyed the tiny performances like setting the beef on fire before serving it to us; very entertaining. ”

“ A great experience! Was recommended this place by an Australian restaurateur when I did some research was a little dubious as usually don’t like chain restaurants but I was wrong to doubt my son and I had the best steak of our lives and it was a lovely experience. Great to watch the chefs do their thing in front of you in a nice setting while jazz played in the background. Very good value for money. Liked it so much thinking of going to their Tokyo branch when the rest of our family join us. ”

“ Great place! The food was incredible!! We did the 9900 yen set and upgraded our beef to Kobe and it was so worth it! The chef made everything in front of us and the service was so hospitable! Even got him to take our photos! Attention to detail was great! It was the best $$ I’d spent so far on my trip! Upon paying the kind waiter even gave us discount after we did a promo scratch card and got 1000 yen off between the two of us! Will definitely be coming back! ”
